Workplace issues including fraud, theft, claims of harassment and other forms
of employee malfeasance are particularly difficult for the Not-For-Profit
corporation. Left unresolved, they can jeopardize the every existence of the
company. Such entities rely heavily on grants and contributions as their source
of funding. Those sources trust the agency to maintain its fiduciary
relationship and manage the funds and business accordingly. Nothing can destroy
the confidence of funding sources as fast as allegations of misuse or
mismanagement of the entrusted funds. Not-for-Profits must act quickly to
resolve any allegation or suspicion of wrong doing. They must keep their boards
advised throughout the investigation and protect the reputation of the agency.
D. Y. Jones & Associates has worked with many Not-For-Profits on issues ranging
from harassment claims and misuse of information to major organized fraud and
embezzlement schemes. Throughout each case, we work with management to quickly
resolve the issue and create procedures and policies to reduce the likelihood of
a reoccurrence.
We assist in developing a crisis management response in the event negative or
unfavorable press results from the situation under investigation. Our objective,
under these unfortunate circumstances, is to keep the client's name out of the
press. However, should the media produce unfavorable reports, we will be
prepared to respond in a positive manner thereby maintaining the public's trust.
When asked, we brief the Board of Directors or Executive Board, carefully
explaining the investigative process, possible and likely outcomes and what can
be expect upon completion of the investigation.
We assist the agency in recovering all proceeds due it under any policy of
insurance available to them.
